Ah, the beautiful vistas of Russia: a lush (but often cold) countryside teeming with wildlife, and oh, what’s that? A river that flows blood red. At first glance, one might think a battle from Game of Thrones was just filmed. Local residents, however, believe a nearby leak at the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant is to blame for the Daldykon River’s new color. Norilsk Nickel, the man in charge of the plant, said that was absurd.
